Providing Ancestral Seeds to Community Based Collectives

What we do

What is the Sowing Seeds Project?

The Sowing Seeds Project is an offering of love to BIPOC run/serving communities and collectives who are committed to restoring balance within our relationship to the land and our food systems.

We are offering a collection of open-pollinated seeds from TrueLove Seeds free of cost with the intention that folks have the opportunity to reconnect and reestablish relationship with ancestral seeds and continue their legacy through saving and sharing the seeds, their nourishment and their stories generously with their community.

What Seeds do We Offer?

Recipients can choose one of two different seed offerings based on ancestral heritage and permaculture design.

Collective Liberation Food Forest:

  • A food forest/guild (minus the tree) created from seeds around the world that support the well-being of one another

Ancestral Collection Series:

  • 5 pre-selected seeds from a particular ancestral collection specified on the TrueLoveSeeds website

Each option automatically comes with a seed packet containing seeds indigenous to the lands that we are currently serving to honor the Lenape, Ohlone and Coast Miwok people and the relationships that have sustained the ecosystem since time immemorial.
